Suspended slab formwork

Barmenia is investing around 100 million euros in its new premises. The whole project will take approximately 40 months to construct.

A supporting grillage bolted below fish-bellied girders with tie anchors carries the formwork tables, which are brought in from both sides.

The formwork units with an area of about 23 m² and weighing 1.2 t are pulled out on the grillages and picked up by a crane using a lifting fork.

For stripping, the tie anchors were wound down to release the tables from the concrete before they were pulled out of the structure.

It took only 13 working days for the Köster AG team led by site manager Dipl.-Ing. Bert-Jan Wullink and foremen Stefan Arndt and Heinz-Josef Karrasch to complete a storey with almost 1,300 m² of formed surfaces.
